“Fall”asteen Fest: an evening of local music in support of Palestine featuring BlasFemme, Def Sonic, Jennifer Hedstrom, Lexi Conwell, and Olivia Rose

All proceeds will go to Hashem Nazli’s Educational Tent Initiative. 

Hashem Nazli is a 28 year old English teacher in Gaza who has been displaced since October 14, 2023. Hashem used to spend his days teaching English to students in grades 5-9. Before the genocide, Hashem would teach about 300 students a day. Since the beginning of the genocide, Israel has destroyed most of the educational infrastructure in Gaza. At least 84% of schools require full reconstruction or significant rehabilitation before schooling can resume. Many of Hashem’s teaching colleagues have been martyred. Instead of learning and playing, the children of Gaza live in fear and suffering.

After over a year of displacement, Hashem has decided to open an educational tent for displaced students, so they can get back to learning. All proceeds from this evening’s event will go towards this initiative. Donations will help pay for the tent, a board, pens, pencils, notebooks, and more. Thank you for supporting this incredible teacher and the children of Palestine.  

Accessibility notes: We have two steps to come in the front door, and one step in our back door. There are two steps into the second portion of our building to reach the bathroom. We have ramps we can put it place for anyone who needs them. Please let us know if we may assist you in accessing the space.
